James Patout opened Minuteman Furniture Restoration in the heart of downtown New Iberia in 1988. He is a 1968 graduate of Catholic High School a lifelong resident of the New Iberia area. After years in the oilfield, he returned to his woodworking roots in 1985 doing handyman services until eventually opening Minuteman Furniture Restoration and has been serving the Acadiana area ever since.
James’ son, Allen, began working full time for Minuteman in 2007 after graduating from the UL, following up years of part time employment during high school and college. In 2011, he started Minuteman Moving Services but continues to work alongside his father when not on moving jobs.
